Texture (Crystallization): Slow crystallization. PRODUCT INFORMATION Organic chestnut honey produced by our bees originating from the chestnut forests of the natural parks of northern Spain. Our Organic Chestnut Honey is produced by our bees that gather nectar from chestnut flowers in the forests of the Natural Parks located in the province of Castilla y León (Spain), situated at an approximate altitude of 1,000 to 2,200 meters. Bona Mel organic chestnut honey is dark amber in color, with a floral aroma and a marked woody finish, and a sweet taste sensation in the mouth with a salty undertone, with bitter touches if heather appears or acidic notes if bramble appears in its compositions. We collect it from our hives in July.
